Shelly
This artwork captures the submerged viewpoint at sea looking back towards the idyllic Shelly Beach. The clear waters are full of life. Fish abound while curious divers discover the local Blue Groper Gary, a refreshed surfer heads back to shore, while a swimmer powers through the sea. The coastal and marine landscape is abstracted in such a way that it conveys a feeling of the oceans' movement. Lauren Esplin masterfully uses colour and expressive markings to convey the landscape, not as it is, but as it is felt. The environment is juxtaposed by the finer details of the figures, a signature of Esplin's distinctive style. Acrylic on Canvas Framed in Tasmanian Oak 1530 x 1230 mm Available in our showroom today.
